Sorry but this unit is not ready for use. It is inconsistent and not ready for professional use. I am returning it. Let me say I am a faithful Pocket Wizard user so this is a total dissappointment.
UPDATE: My son, who is a professional photographer, purchased this and has had better luck concerning the radio signal. He is not using the 580EX on top of the MiniTT1, which is where I had major problem with misfires or mainly no fires. But the quality is still poor. Within a week he broke the hotshoe off and now has to send it for repair. I really want to get one of these because in theory it will do exactly what I need, but I think for $199, I’ll wait until the next model comes out and see what folks say about it.

Does what the Pocket Wizard Company it says does! Very low profile and works seamlessly with your Canon camera and speedlites.

Today I am the happiest man on earth! I just received my new Pocket Wizards and I could not be happier…..I put one on my camera and the other on my flash turned them on, set my flash an easy couple of hundred feet away, and boom…. Perfect!
TTL , super fast synch speeds, everything they said it would do and more.
These things will be a blessing for all my weddings. Kudos to PW!
Simply amazing!

I had to send my unit back as it just was not worth the trial and error. The range was horrible inside and out. When I was able to get it to work I would take one step back and no flash. Two to three steps forward and maybe a flash if you were standing just right. High speed sync is a no go with me after trying everything I could to get it to work. Did not work at all with a Canon 420EX. The flash I could get to work was a Canon 580EX II. I have received my wireless sync from the ‘other guys’ and could not be happier. The other brand works every shot and the range is unbelievable. For the money that this unit costs it should work first time every time with no hassles. I cannot wait for an upgrade that may fix the problems I experienced.
